final year in uni...

well....cny is over now....time to start studying again. classes are starting in 2 days time. part of me can't wait to get back to uni cos of meeting up with friends but the other part just dread it. going back means assignments, tests and exams. i'm planning to make this last year of mine in uni different. going to study more and play less. i'm hoping to get better results this year. hopefully i'll stay on track and not wonder off....

exam finished 2 weeks ago. it was ok though i think i will fail one of the subjects. it was the first time that i broke down and cried. guess it was due to the stress and also i was scared that i couldn't finish and remember wat i studied. well, it's over now and i can only hope for me to pass.

happy chinese new year...

yep...it's THE time of the year again...time to make money! hehe...:p can't wait to know if this year's collection will match up to last year's... one good thing bout the new year this year is that i finally get to enjoy the reunion dinner. yep...i haven't had any reunion dinner before this. maybe i had many many years ago but then it was ages ago so guess it's gone from my memory. in the previous years, my family will wait till bout 8 something at night when everyone's finally back and walked across to my grandma's house to eat steamboat (grandma's a big fan of it). by that time, everyone would have finished eating and my family will be the only one left at the table.

this year is the 1st year i'm having reunion dinner with my grandma and my uncle's family from s'pore. though the dishes were just normal dishes that we eat everyday (with the addition of a very big fish and many big prawns) i really enjoyed it very much. looking forward to doing this again next year.

besides that, it's just the same as every other new year. everyone sitting down watching tv while me and my sisters help my dad to prepare the angpows. when the clock strikes 12, all of us will pray at the alter and then wish our parents 'gong xi fa cai' and get our first angpows from them.

the bad thing bout this year's new year is that i have to study for my summer semester's exam which is next week. how can anyone study during holidays..much as during chinese new year????? but no choice...really have to start...

i'm a changed person

i am...seriously! but u all won't believe me anyways even if i tell u. went to shopping at mid valley with rae and min today. and for the FIRST time in my whole entire shopping experience with both of them...i DIDN'T buy anything. YAY! a huge achievement for me....based on the fact that i never ever end a shopping trip with nothing before this. even if it wasn't iniatiated by me, i'll surely buy something.

it's not that i dun wan to get anything, especially chinese new year is around, which means it's time for new clothes....but then the crowd really puts me off. imagine you have to line up to even try on the clothes? no way ppl....i'm already put off with the bright lights that all the shops seem to have installed...add the crowd to it...it's definately not the time for me to shop. i prefer going to somewhere with less ppl where u dun have to wait for ur turn for a place in the fitting room.

but i did manage to look into somethings that i would wan to buy. maybe will pop into pyramid in the next 2 days or so to get them. not so many ppl then...but will need to find transport.

happy belated new year

well, guess it's too late to wish u all happy new year...guess i'll just save it to wishing all of u happy early chinese new year...hehe... a lot's been happening lately, with the tsunami and all. hopefully, the new year will be a new start for those who were affected by the tsunami.

Exam's in a months time. It will be a week after chinese new year, which means that this time around, i won't be able to earn more money. instead, i have to spend new year studying...haih...wat a life.

things are still the same since my last post. ushered 2005 with a party at michelle's house. food was great especially the macaroni and cheese...yum yum! after that, it was suet's b'day...she belanja-ed makan and we continued the party at red box. had a great time there, even had cream throwing session. definately looking forward to the next person's b'day to do it again. hehe...i'm going to buy a can of cream for that...:p

other than that, my life's been pretty boring. everyday wake up, go class, come back home, lepak around, sleep. been repeating that everyday. but then, he was able to make me look forward to every single day

oh ya, got a new laptop..yay! went back to malacca last weekend and bugged my dad for the entire 2 hours journey. he say he'll think about it first but then the next day, the computer guy called to ask me wat type of notebook i want...haha...i'm so extremely happy! been wanting to change my laptop to a better and faster one for months...

i think i sound like a spoilt sport. do i? i don't usually ask my dad for anything besides electronic stuffs. yeah, i admit that i did ask for my previous and current laptop and also my previous and current handphone but i think that's about all. i got my digital camera without asking though he knew i wanted one but i din even ask for it. and my old video camera...he bought it cos he wanted it - he just said that it's for me so that i'll learn instead of him on how to use it. in the end, i have to carry it around since it's "mine". and let me tell u, video cameras a few years ago weigh a ton.
